FIFA: "We have the chance to act together to lay the foundations for a new way forward" (I. Hayatou)

"At this Congress, our member associations will vote for a new FIFA President, opening a new era for FIFA and for the future of football around the world," wrote Issa Hayatou, the acting president of FIFA, in the editorial of the Agenda for the FIFA Congress on 26/02/2016, published on 23/12/2015.

"The election of the president" is item 11 on the agenda, which also includes a vote on reforms of the organisational structure of FIFA (item 8).

"These changes to our Statutes and regulations, which were approved by the FIFA Executive Committee in December, will start the process of rebuilding confidence and re-establishing FIFA as a modern and trusted professional sports organisation," said Issa Hayatou in his introduction to the Agenda, published in full below.
