Liga BBVA: Qatar Airways launches pre-flight information video featuring FC Barcelona players

Qatar Airways have launched a pre-flight information video featuring players from FC Barcelona (Liga BBVA), including Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, Ivan Rakitic, Gerard Pique, Neymar and Javier Mascherano, on 20/12/2015.

The Qatar Airways video is similar to a a clip launched by its competitor Emirates to celebrate its partnership with SL Benfica (Liga NOS) in October 2015. That video features airline hostesses demonstrating the safety procedures on the pitch of the Estadio la Luz.

The airline remains in negotiations to extend its shirt sponsorship deal with Barcelona, which expires in June 2016. The airline paid a total of €96m, excluding bonuses, for the 2013-14 to 2015-16 period. Qatar Airways is likely to renew its shirt sponsorship with Barça for €60m per year until 2019-20, according to the Spanish daily El Mundo Deportivo, in June 2015.
