Spain: American Robert Sarver (Phoenix Suns) acqures 81% of Real Mallorca (Liga Adelante) for €20.6m

A group led by the American banker Robert Sarver (left in photo), owner of the NBA franchise the Phoenix Suns, has acquired a controlling stake in the Spanish second division club Real Club Deportivo Mallorca (Liga Adelante) via a capital expansion, announced the Mediterranean island club on 04/01/2016.

"The company Liga ACQ Legacy Partners LLC has completed the right of preferential subscription for 549.867 shares, paying out €20,620,012.50. With this action, the group has subscripted the totality of the capital expansion, which means to multiply the social capital of Real Mallorca four times. The company Liga ACQ Legacy Partners LLC is formed by a group of experienced NBA owners, Robert Sarver, Andy Kohlberg and Steve Nash," stated a press release on the Real Mallorca website on 04/01/2016.
