The German supplier Jako is in negotiations to replace adidas as the kit suppler Bayer 04 Leverkusen (Bundesliga) from the 2016-17 season, according to several German media outlets on 06/01/2016.

adidas announced the end of its partnership with Bayer Leverkusen at the end of the 2015-16 season, on 03/06/2015. The three stripes brand has been connected to the club since the 1960s. Jako, who is also under contract with Hannover 96 and SV Darmstadt 98 (Bundesliga), would propose to Nayer a financial amount estimated at €2.5m per year. "I am fully rested and relaxed. Bayer 04 Leverkusen is very attractive to equipment brands. We will offer our fans something satisfying," said Michael Schade, the CEO of the club, on 03/06/2015.

The contract between adidas and Bayer Leverkusen is estimated at between €2m and €2.5m per season. The German equipment brand equips three other Bundesliga clubs in 2015-16: FC Bayern Munich, FC Schalke 04 and Hamburger SV.
