Dacia, the Romanian car brand owned by the French group Renault since 2000, has obtained the naming rights of the newly renovated stadium of Udinese Calcio (Serie A TIM), the Stadio Friuli (25,000 seats), announced the club on 08/01/2015. Dacia is also a shirt sponsor of Udinese until 2019-20.

The annual amount of the contract is estimated at €500,000 over five years (2016-2020). Dacia became the first automobile brand to sign a naming rights deal in Italy. This is the third agreement of this kind in Italian football after the one between the Mapei Group (building materials) and US Sassuolo Calcio (Serie A TIM), and the contract between Orogel (frozen food products) and AC Cesena (Serie B ConTe.it).

"The naming of the new Udine stadium is the culmination of a successful partnership and seals years of valuable collaboration that have led to significant results for both partners. The Dacia Arena is the beginning of a new era for us and for Udinese Calcio and I'm sure that will be punctuated by many moments of celebration," said Christian Bernard, director of Renault Italy.
