MLS: expansion franchise Los Angeles FC reveal club crest, present actor Will Ferrell as owner

Los Angeles FC, an MLS expansion franchise slated to begin play in the North American top division in either 2017 or 2018, presented the club's colours and crest on 07/01/2016.

At the same time, the club announced the addition of the American actor Will Ferrell as a minority investor in the club. The addition of the comedian Ferrell brings the LAFC ownership group to 26 persons in total.

• "(The crest and colours are) a big step. We've just been able to say 'We're LAFC, we're Los Angeles Football Club.' And now we've got something we can wear. And I will wear this proudly. I hope our supporters here and the people of the city will wear it proudly. To us it not only represents our club, it represents our city. And we hope to join some of that iconography of what LA is," stated owner and managing partner Henry Nguyen, on 07/01/2016.
