Premier League: Arsenal freeze the price of season tickets and match tickets for the 2016-17 season

Arsenal FC (Barclays Premier League) have frozen the price of its season tickets and individual matchday tickets for the 2016-17 season, the club announced on 08/01/2016.

"We have incredible home support with sell-out crowds for every game. This decision reflects our on-going aim to maintain a fair and balanced approach to our ticket pricing," said chief executive of the club, Ivan Gazidis. This will be the seventh time in eleven seasons that ticket prices will not be increased at the Emirates Stadium (60,000 seats), say Arsenal. Fans and season ticket holders of the club have repeatedly expressed their dissatisfaction with the pricing policy during the 2014-15 season.

The London club has marketed its season tickets from £1,014 to £2,013 (€1,346 to €2,674) for the 2015-16 season, the highest rate in the Premier League. However, Arsenal season tickets include league and cup matches, as well as the first round of the Champions League. 61% of the seats at the stadium, which opened in 2006, are held by season ticket holders according to data from the Premier League for 2015-16.
