France: "Develop the image of the club and Ledus internationally" (Li Wing Sang, FC Sochaux)

"We are in this for the long haul and want to develop the image of FC Sochaux-Montbéliard as well as that of Ledus internationally. Since its inception nearly 90 years ago (1928), the club has had the same owner (Peugeot). We hope to make it more international. I can tell you that we are here for the long term. We want to develop the club's academy. We are not traders," said Li Wing Sang, president of SASP FC Sochaux -Montbéliard (Ligue 2) and CEO of the Chinese company Tech Pro Technology Development Limited, which owns Ledus, on 13/01/2016.

The Chinese group Ledus, specialising in LED lighting systems, officially acquired 100% of FC Sochaux-Montbéliard from PSA Peugeot Citroën, for a value of €7m on 06/07/2015. "We hope to return to Ligue 1 as soon as possible," said Li Wing Sang on the day the acquisition was finalised. FC Sochaux are currently in 17th place in the 2015-16 Ligue 2 standings after 20 matchdays with 19 points (W4, D7, L9, one place above AC Ajaccio in the first relegation spot).
