Premier League: Skype becomes a digital partner of Liverpool FC

Skype, the free internet telephone and video calling software, has become a digital partner of Liverpool FC (Premier League), the club announced on 12/01/2016.

Liverpool allow its supporters who have added the clubs official skype account: "LFCOfficial", to interact with each other via discussion groups during matches. The account also offers exclusive content created by the players, and the opportunity to win tickets and other autographed products. Skype are hoping to benefit from the reputation of the English club, which has over 26.9 million Facebook fans and 6.7 million Twitter followers. The service, owned by the Microsoft group, has developed a series of emoticons dedicated to the club including avatars of Jürgen Klopp, Jordan Henderson, Daniel Sturridge and Philippe Coutinho that fans can use during their conversations.
