UEFA: Chinese company Hisense (electronics) becomes the 10th and final global sponsor of Euro 2016

The Chinese electronics group Hisense has become the 10th and final global sponsor of Euro 2016, announced UEFA on 14/01/2016. The company becomes the first Chinese partner in the history of the competition.

Hisense has also become a sponsor of the European qualifiers for the 2018 World Cup, the UEFA futsal Euro 2016 finals, 2017 UEFA European Under-21 championship finals and the women's Euro 2017. The brand, considered to be at the top of the Chinese market, wants to raise its profile in Europe, one of its development targets. The Hisense Group is active in football through its partnership with FC Schalke 04 (Bundesliga) which started in July 2014. The Chinese group was also the sponsor of Valencia CF (Liga BBVA) during the 2013-14 season. Hisense also holds the naming rights of the Hisense Arena (10,500 seats) at the Melbourne Park complex, which hosts the Australian Open tennis tournament.
