"France has also been a fantastic basketball market -- and Paris in particular. I am sure it will be something we look at closely," said Adam Silver, the NBA commissioner, about the possibility of organising a regular season game of the North American basketball league on French soil in the future. Adam Silver was speaking before the match between the Toronto Raptors - Orlando Magic (106-103, in overtime), held at the O2 Arena (20,000 seats) in London (ENG) on 14/01/2016.

The NBA has organised 14 regular-season games outside the United States and Canada since 1990, including six at the O2 Arena since 2011. Two games have been scheduled and played abroad in the 2015-16 season: Boston Celtics - Sacramento Kings (114-97) at the Mexico City Arena (22,300 seats) and Raptors - Magic at the O2 Arena.
