China: €40.54bn turnover for Wanda Group in 2015, including €820m from Wanda Sports

The Chinese conglomerate Wanda Group achieved a turnover of 290.16bn yuan (€40.54bn) during the 2015 financial year, up 19.1% from 2014, the group announced at its annual general meeting of its shareholders on 16/01/2016. Net income for the group has not yet been communicated by Wanda Group.

65.6% of total group turnover comes from the "Commercial Properties" sector (real estate and hotels), which accounts for 190.45bn yuan (€26.6bn) income, up 4.4 %. Wanda Sports Holdings, which includes the conglomerate activities in sports (including the Infront Sports & Media agency and the World Triathlon Corporation), generated 5.87bn yuan (€820m), or 32.7% more than the 2015 target. Wanda Sports Holdings accounts for 2% of pf the group's turnover.

For the 2016 year, the Wanda Group expects 254.3bn yuan (€35.5bn) in turnover, down 12%, anticipating a decline of 64bn yuan (€8.94bn) in revenues in the "Commercial Properties" sector. Wanda Sports Holdings expects 7bn yuan (€978m) in revenues in 2016, an increase of 19.25%, or 2.75% of the total turnover of the Wanda Group.
