Euro 2016: 3.5 million requests for the 800,000 tickets reserved for supporters of the 24 teams

3.5 million ticket applications from 189 territories were recorded from 14/12/2015 to 18/01/2016 for the 800,000 tickets reserved for supporters of the 24 participating teams (averaging 4.37 ticket requests per available place) indicated the EURO 2016 SAS, on 18/01/2016.

The three most requested games are:
• Germany - Poland (Group C, at the Stade de France, on 16/06/2016)
• Ireland - Sweden (Group E, at the Stade de France, on 13/06/2016)
• Austria - Portugal (Group F, at the Parc des Princes, on 18/06/2016)

Ticket applications were made via the each team's individual ticketing platform. "The five most used platforms were those of Poland, France, Austria, the Republic of Ireland and Switzerland," said the EURO 2016 SAS.

• The smallest country to have qualified for the final phase of Euro 2016, Iceland, received 26,985 ticket requests from a population of 330,000 inhabitants, stated EURO 2016 SAS.
  • This figure means that 8.15% of Icelanders made a ticket request.
