Brazil: Caixa (bank) becomes the shirt sponsor of Cruzeiro and Atlético Mineiro in 2016

The Brazilian bank Caixa Economica Federal will be the shirt sponsor of both Cruzeiro EC and Atlético Mineiro (Chevrolet Brasileirão Série A) during the 2016 season, announced the bank on 19/01/2016.

The partnerships between the two Belo Horizonte club's and the National Bank were formalised and signed by the president of Brazil, Dilma Rousseff. The National Bank will pay each club 12.5m reais (€2.8m) in the 2016 season. The Caixa logo will appear on the front but also the back of the team's kits.

Caixa, the main advertiser in Brazilian football, will be the shirt sponsor of nine clubs in the Brazilian first division in 2016, including CR Flamengo and Sport Club Corinthians Paulista, as well as five clubs in Serie B.
