Euro 2016 to be held in France from 10/06/2016 to 07/10/2016

The 15th edition of the European Football Championship will be held from 06/10/2016 to 10/07/2016 in France. The event organised by UEFA (Union of European Football Associations) will feature 24 national teams instead of 16 (decision adopted on 26/09/2008 by the UEFA Executive Committee meeting in Bordeaux, France).

Standing against Turkey and Italy, France were chosen as hosts by UEFA in Geneva (Switzerland), on the 28/05/2010.

10 stadiums will host the competition, including the Stade de France, where the final will take place on the 10/07/2016.

  • Draw for the preliminary round: 23/02/2014 at the Palace Acropolis in Nice
  • Draw for the finals in December 2015 at the Palais des Congrès in Paris.
