USA: average of 7.8 football matches on TV per day in the U.S. in 2015, only 15 days of no football

An average of 7.8 football matches per day were broadcast on TV in the United States in 2015 (compared to 7.3 matches per day in 2014), according to a report published by the specialised website www.giltedgesoccer.com on 19/01/2016. At least one football match from around the world -- covering 65 different leagues and tournaments -- was broadcast on TV in the U.S. in 350 out of 365 days of the year.

36 different channels (up from 34 channels in 2014) broadcast football matches on TV in the U.S. in 2015, which covers matches broadcast in English, Spanish and also both languages simultaneously. The Liga BBVA was the most featured championship with 389 matches broadcast in the U.S. in 2015, followed by MLS with 357 matches, the Barclays Premier League with 345 matches and the Liga Bancomer MX with 333 matches.
