English FA: €451.7m in revenues (-4.3%) and a net deficit of €12.9m in 2014-15

The FA realised a turnover of £318.1m (€451.7m as of 31/07/2015) for the 2015 financial year (from 01/08/2014 to 31/07/2015) down 4.3% from 2014 (£332.3m / €418.7m at 07/31/2014), announced the English Football Association on 20/01/2016.

The FA explains the decline in revenues by the absence, in the summer of 2015, of an international tournament for senior men's team and by the lack of a title sponsor for the 2014-15 FA Cup (the competition has become Emirates FA Cup for the 2015-2018 cycle).

Audiovisual revenues constitute about 39% of the total turnover of the English federation, to £124m (€176m) at 31/07/2015, up 11.7% year on year (£111m / €139.9m in 2014). This increase corresponds to the entry into force, in 2014-15, the contract with BT Sport and the BBC to broadcast the FA Cup.

The operating profit of the FA amounted to £19.8m (€28.1m), down 56.8% from 2014 (£45.9m / €57.8m). The English federation in 2015 recorded a net deficit of £9.1m (€12.9m), against a £28m (€35.3m) net profit one year earlier.
