Tissot, the Swiss watchmaker, has become the official timekeeper of the Tour de France and all the cycling races organised by ASO (Amaury Sport Organisation), until 2020, announced the brand of the Swatch group on 25/01/2016.

Tissot, which had already been a partner of the Tour de France between 1988 and 1992, replaces the Spanish watchmaker Festina, which had been a partner of the competition for the past 22 years. The Swiss group will provide the timekeeping equipment for all ASO cycling races (Paris-Nice, Paris-Tours, La Vuelta, and more), starting with the Paris-Nice race that will take place from 06/03/2016 to 13/03/2016.

Tissot has also partnered the UCI (Union Cycliste Internationale) for numerous competitions such as the World Cycling Championships for road, track, mountain bike and BMX, and on track cycling World Cup events. The Swiss watch brand was the exclusive partner of the 2015 Rugby World Cup. It will also be the official timekeeper of the NBA, WNBA and NBA D-League (minor league) from the 2016-17 season.
