Matchday 18 of the 2015-16 Bundesliga, the first round of fixtures after the winter break, drew an average of 40,857 spectators per match from 22 to 24/01/2016. The average attendance of the German championship this season is currently 43,172 spectators in the 2015-16 season, for a stadium fill rate of 93%.

The leading football league in the world in terms of attendance, the Bundesliga drew more than 35,000 spectators in seven out of nine stadiums on Matchday 18. The match between FC Schalke 04 - SV Werder Bremen (1-3) drew the best crowd of the matchday, with 62,271 spectators at the Veltins Arena in Gelsenkirchen.
