China: LaLiga begin training 2,000 coaches in six major Chinese cities

LaLiga has supported the training of 2,000 coaches for schools and colleges in six of the largest cities in China (Lanzhou, Xian, Guangzhou, Shanghai, Hangzhou and Luoyang), announced the Spanish League on 28/01/2016.

This operation is part of the second edition of the national programme training school football coaches in China, which began in December 2015 and aims to provide training for 8,000 coaches teaching in schools and colleges in the country. The Chinese government decided, in November 2014, to make football education one of the priorities of the Ministry of Education, with the aim to develop 50,000 schools and higher education institutions with specific facilities for football by 2025.

"This agreement shows Spanish football's commitment to the development of the sport in China, and is a new step forward in their expansion strategy to develop LaLiga's presence around the world," the Spanish League.
