Rio 2016 launches a game application with tickets for the opening ceremony available

The Organising Committee of the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games has launched the application "My Rio 2016", providing information and games, on 25/01/2016. The app is available on iOS and Android.

The application will offer weekly competitions and quizzes until April 2016. Users who download the app can challenge their friends on social networks in order to collect points. At the end of each week, a ranking of fans by activity will be published on the app. The most active user will be awarded prizes, including tickets to the opening ceremony to be held on 05/08/2016.

The application also provides information on the Olympic and Paralympic Games, news about the organisation of the tournament and preparation of the athletes, as well as jobs for the Rio Games.

• The application is currently conducting a photo competition with the theme of the Olympic and Paralympic spirit.
