FIFA: "Between Champagne and Infantino, personally, I choose Jérôme Champagne" (Philippe Piat)

"I have always said that my preference was for Michel Platini, when he was in position to run for the presidency of FIFA. I recognise that my choice has later been focused on two of the five candidates, Gianni Infantino and Jérôme Champagne. Between these two men, I choose Jérôme Champagne

The 209 presidents of the national federations will vote for the next president of FIFA at an Extraordinary Congress in Zurich (SUI) on 26/02/2016.

"Noël Le Graët, on behalf of the French Football Federation and its Executive Committee, declared his support for Gianni Infantino," the FFF announced in a statement issued on Friday, 29/01/2016. The day before, Frederic Thiriez, president of the LFP and the EPFL, expressed his wish that France support the candidacy of the Frenchman Jérôme Champagne.
