FC Barcelona launch a Turkish Twitter account, the language of their new player Arda Turan (TUR)

FC Barcelona (Liga BBVA) have launched a Turkish version of their Twitter account (@FCBarcelona_tr), announced the Catalan club on 29/01/2016. FC Barcelona now have versions of their Twitter account in Catalan, Spanish, English, Portuguese, French, Indonesian, Japanese, Arabic and now Turkish.

"The Twitter account is the first stage of a medium term plan, which will end with the launch of a Turkish language version of the official website. (...) Arda Turan’s presence in the FCB squad has consolidated the interest in the team in the country and the player will be one of the main focuses of the news on the Turkish Twitter account, in addition to other daily updates on events concerning Luis Enrique’s team," stated Barcelona on 29/01/2016. Arda Turan, captain of the Turkish national team, made his debut for FC Barcelona against RCD Espanyol in the Round of 16 of the 2015-16 Copa del Rey (4-1), on 06/01/2016.

With over 32 million followers in total on their various accounts, FC Barcelona are the most followed European club on Twitter.
