On the 31/05/2013, Konstantin Zyryanov, CEO of the AS Monaco Football Club announced that AS Monaco has updated its visual identity and unveiled a new badge that is "modern but respectful of tradition, reflecting the club's ambition to play in Ligue 1 and in Europe".

The club will no longer be known as ASM FC but as AS Monaco FC. The badge maintains the royal crown, the shield and the red & white colouring. The club worked on this design project with French graphics company Leroy Tremblot, who have worked with the FFF (French Football Federation) in 2006, Le Mans FC in 2010 and the FIFA Ballon d'or Award in 2011.
