FFF: Archos will provide amateur clubs with 30,000 tablets at the end of 2015-16 season,

Archos, a French company specialising in the design of electronic products, will provide French amateur football clubs with 18,000 tablets specially developed to digitise match sheets by the end of 2015-16 season, announced the company on 03/02/2016.

These 18,000 tablets will add to the 12,000 already deployed to make a total of 30,000 tablets provided to clubs since June 2014, when Archos became the technology partner of the FFF and an official supplier of French national teams (men's, women's and youth teams) and amateur teams for the 2014-2018 period.

The FFF is the first federation in the world to digitise its football match sheets. This digitisation allows clubs to enter information (scorecards, statistics, among other data) directly into a database via the Archos tablet. The information is processed and uploaded automatically from the tablet, which reduces errors and the problems generated by the paper version of match sheets, which was used for all matches before the development of computerised match sheets.
