NFL: sponsorship revenues amount to €1bn for the 2015-16 season, up 4.4%

The sponsorship revenues of the NFL for the 2015-16 season (10/09/2015 to 07/02/2016) reached $1.2bn (€1bn as of 03/02/2016), an increase of 4.4% compared to previous season, according to a study of from the agency IEG Sponsorship on 01/02/2016. This year-on-year increase is less than the 7.8% increase in 2014-15.

In October 2015, the NFL concluded a sponsorship contract with Hyundai Motor (Korean automaker), which runs until 2019, for $50m per year (€45.7m as of 03/0s/2016), more than twice the amount of the league's previous automotive partner General Motors (US automaker).

  • The 2016 Super Bowl, between the Denver Broncos and Carolina Panthers, will be played at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara (San Francisco area, California, USA) on Sunday 07/02/2016.
    • In Europe, the Super Bowl will kick-off at 00:30 CET in the night of 08/02/2016.
