Euro 2020: Berlin and Munich potential candidates for nomination

Berlin and Munich are both potential candidates to host matches for the Euro 2020.

The event will take place in 13 cities and 13 european countries, the DFB (German Football Association) announces on 06/03/2013.

Dortmund turned out of the race.

On 08/30/2013, the Federation's Board of Directors will disclose its decision whether it supports a single city or both.

Germany could be candidate to greet the semi-finals and the final, if case of Turkey' elimination, being chosen on 07/09/2013 as the host city for the 2020 Olympic Games.

Turkey was the only official candidate for the organisation of the Euro 2020 in its entirety (after France won the organisation of the Euro 2016). Istanbul is therefore the favorite to host the last three games of the 2020 edition, but UEFA' President Michel Platini announced clearly that the city, also a candidate for the 2020 Olympic Games, couldn't welcome both Euro and Olympics on the same year.
