Ligue 1: Marseille reach agreement with supporters groups over the marketing of season tickets

"Olympique de Marseille and its supporters' associations reached an agreement in the early evening this Thursday, 04/02/2016, on the conditions for OM to regain control of the marketing and distribution of season tickets. Each member supporters group will benefit, starting from next season, from an allocation of season tickets issued by the club," announced Olympique de Marseille (Ligue 1) who called it an "historic agreement", on 04/02/2016.

Since 1987, under the chairmanship of Bernard Tapie, supporters associations managed, marketed and distributed the season tickets and other match seats in the south and north stands amongst their own members. The fan groups offered season tickets at an average price of €185 for the 2015-16 season (the price of the ticket acquired from the club being €155 plus an additional €30 commission, on average). The groups were also taking a margin on individual tickets and commercial packages sold in their areas of the stadium.
