The German sports equipment brand Jako will replace adidas as the official kit supplier of Bayer 04 Leverkusen (Bundesliga) from the 2016-17 season, the club announced on 05/02/2016. The contract also includes the 2017-18 season, with an option to extend by one year.

adidas announced the end of its partnership with Bayer Leverkusen, at the end of the 2015-16 season, on 03/06/2015. The three stripes brand had been the kit supplier of the German club since the 1960s. Jako, which is also under contract with Hannover 96 and SV Darmstadt 98 (Bundesliga), will pay an estimated €2.5m per year to Bayer Leverkusen as part of the deal.

The contract between adidas and Bayer Leverkusen was estimated between €2m and €2.5m per season. adidas is the official kit supplier of four other Bundesliga teams in 2015-16: FC Bayern Munich, FC Schalke 04, Hamburger SV and FC Ingolstadt 04.
