Premier League: 20^th Century Fox partners with Manchester United to promote its films

The film distributor 20^th Century Fox, owned by the US group 20^th Century Fox Film Corporation, has partnered with Manchester United FC (Premier League), announced the club on 05/02/2016.

20^th Century Fox will use the reputation of the English club to promote its films: Deadpool, X-Men: Apocalypse and Independence Day: Resurgence, throughout 2016. The distributor will benefit from visibility on the LED advertising boards for matches at Old Trafford and will launch activations aimed at spectators on matchdays. 20^th Century Fox will offer, through this agreement, exclusive content on its various digital platforms, such as a promotional video for the movie "Deadpool", featuring several Manchester United players, including Wayne Rooney. The clip has been viewed more than 1.4 million times on YouTube since it was posted on 05/02/2016.

Manchester United generated £154.9m (€202.6m) of revenue from sponsorship and partnerships in 2014-15, representing an increase of £19.1m (€25m), +14% compared to 2013-14 (£135.8m, €177.5m).
