Ligue 1: Philippe Perez leaves the post as CEO of Olympique de Marseille

"Olympique de Marseille and Philippe Perez, its CEO, have decided by mutual agreement not to pursue their collaboration because of differences on strategic and financial decisions of the club," announced Olympique de Marseille (Ligue 1) on 08/02/2016.

Philippe Perez has held the post of CEO of OM since June 2011, when Vincent Labrune was appointed to the presidency of the club. Philippe Perez was a member of the Executive Committee of OM, and the club's strategic committee.

"Olympique de Marseille thank Philippe Perez for his investment and his work done for the club for more than four years and wish him well for the future," stated the club, which did not release the name of the successor Philippe Perez or changes to its organisational structure on 08/02/2016.

  • Philippe Perez was indicted for "misuse of company assets", "forgery and use of forgeries" and "criminal association" in the case of dubious club transfers, and placed under judicial supervision on 22/01/2016 .
    • He is suspected of being involved in a couple of dubious transfers.
