Premier League: SportPesa becomes the 4th betting partner of Arsenal, with exclusive rights in Kenya

The sports betting operator SportPesa has become a betting partner of Arsenal FC (Premier League) in Kenya, announced the club on 06/02/2016.

The multi-year contract entitles SportPesa to launch digital campaigns using the image rights of Arsenal FC, as well as first team players and club legends. The company will set up various games and competitions for its customers in Kenya, including the chance to win internships at the training centre of the London club. The betting operator also owns the naming rights of the Kenyan championship: the SportPesa Premier League.

Arsenal are partnered with three other betting operators in 2015-16: Paddy Power for the UK and Ireland, Betfair for the rest of Europe with the exception of Italy and Russia, and Bodog for the Asian market. Arsenal generated £103.3m (€140.4m) in commercial revenue in the 2014-15 season, a 34% increase compared to 2013-14 (£77.2m; €105.08m). The club made £78.6m (€106.9m) in sponsorship and advertising revenue in 2014-15, representing an increase of 33% compared to 2013-14 (£59.2m; €80.5m).
