AS Monaco (Ligue 1) has received the Globe Soccer Award for best transfer market management for the 2015-16 season, on 09/02/2016. The club also won the trophy for 2014-15.

AS Monaco have been rewarded for its handling of the transfer of Anthony Martial (FRA, 19 years old at the time of the transaction), sold to Manchester United FC (Premier League) for €50m (+ €30m in possible bonuses) during the 2015 summer transfer market. Anthony Martial had joined AS Monaco in the summer of 2013 in a transfer from Olympique Lyonnais (Ligue 1) for an estimated fee of €5m.

" We decided to appoint Monaco for this award because of the great deal they did with Martial: this is the biggest of the year! Our jury was also evaluating the result on the sustainability of the club. Considering that Monaco is also a club which is taking good care of its financial management, making it positive, not only through selling. This is a good message," said Tommaso Bendoni, director of the Globe Soccer Awards, created in 2010 and whose 2015 trophy ceremony was held in Dubai (UAE) on 27 and 28/12/2015.
