France: Domino's Pizza should receive title naming rights to Ligue 2 (2016-2020)

The American fast food franchise Domino's Pizza should receive the title naming rights to Ligue 2 from the 2016-17 season until the end of the 2019-20 season, according to information obtained by News Tank Football on 10/02/2016. Sport & Co, the marketing agency owned Heptacom group, was mandated to negotiate with the LFP for this partnership. Other nationwide entities in France businesses, such as the Intermarché supermarket group, have shown interest, but a firm offer from Domino's is likely to be accepted.

The financial allocation of the agreement is estimated at between €1.3m and €1.5m per year. Each club in the French second division would receive around €60,000 per year in exchange for various benefits. If the agreement with Domino's Pizza materialises, the logo of the brand will appear on the shirt sleeve of all 20 teams in Ligue 2.
