FIFA: CONCACAF will not currently announce its support of any candidate, but could on 25/02/2016

"Part of the agenda today did not include talking about the FIFA candidates, again the focus of these meetings were the FIFA reforms and the CONCACAF reforms," said Jurgen Mainka, deputy secretary general of CONCACAF, after a meeting of the member associations of the Confederation of North America, Central America and the Caribbean in Miami (Florida, United States), on 11/02/2016.

Prince Ali Bin Al Hussein, Sheikh Salman Bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa, Jerome Champagne and Gianni Infantino, four of the five candidates for the presidency of FIFA, attended the meeting and each gave a 20 minute speech to the leaders of 35 member federations of CONCACAF. Tokyo Sexwale was the only absentee.

"Because of all of the nations coming together, four of the [candidates] asked us if they could present. They came in last night and they presented their platforms and we allowed them that window," said Jurgen Mainka.

"We do have an Extraordinary Congress the day before the election (on 25/02/2016) so something could happen there, but I’m not privy to that," said the deputy general secretary of CONCACAF…
