Scotland: Dafabet (betting) to become the shirt sponsor of Celtic FC from 2016-17

Dafabet, the online gaming and betting operator registered in the Philippines, will become the shirt sponsor of Celtic FC (Ladbrokes Premiership) from the 2016-17 season, according to the Scottish daily The Scotsman on 13/02/2016.

Dafabet, the shirt sponsor of Sunderland AFC (Premier League) in 2015-16, will replace the cider brand Magners, which had been the shirt sponsor of the Glasgow club since the summer of 2013. The agreement with Magners is valued at £1.5m / year (€1.95m), excluding bonuses. Dafabet has been the official international betting partner of Celtic since May 2015. That five-year contract is scheduled to end in June 2020.

Dafabet, which was the shirt sponsor of Aston Villa FC (Premier League) until June 2015, is also the betting partner of Everton FC (Premier League) and Blackburn Rovers FC (Championship). The company, founded in 2004, also became the title sponsor of the Welsh Premier League, which has been named the Dafabet Premier League since the start of the 2015-16 season.
