Olympique Lyonnais: turnover of €107.8m (+105%), net profit of €19.7m in the first half of 2015-16

OL Groupe, the holding company which owns Olympique Lyonnais (Ligue 1), realised a total turnover of €107.8m in the first half of the 2015-16 financial year (from 01/07 to 31/12/2015 ), an increase of €55.3m (+105%) year-on-year (€52.5m in the first half of 2014-15), announced the group on 17/02/2016.

Excluding gains from player trading, the OL Groupe turnover was €81.7m (or 75.8% of the total turnover), an increase of €33m (+68%) year-on-year (€48.6m on 31/12/2014). Revenue growth was mainly driven by TV rights and marketing (€54.6m), up €31.7m (+139%) compared to the 1st half of 2014-15 (€22.9m), mainly due to the participation of Olympique Lyonnais in the group stage of the 2015-16 Champions League. Gains from player trading amounted to €26.2m, up €22.3m (571%) from the previous year (€3.9m).
