Ali Bin Al Hussein, Salman Bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa, Jérôme Champagne, Gianni Infantino and Tokyo Sexwale, these are the five candidates seeking to replace Joseph Blatter for the presidency of FIFA, during the Extraordinary Electoral Congress held in Zurich (SUI) on Friday 26/02/2016. The winner will serve as president until the Ordinary Congress of the international federation in 2019, the first Congress after the four-year 2015-2018 fiscal cycle of the body.

Re-elected for a fifth term (2015-2019) as the head of FIFA on 29/05/2015, Joseph Blatter (SUI) announced, on 06/02/2015, his intention "lay down my mandate", following the arrest of seven top leaders of international football on 27/05/2015. FIFA decided, on 20/07/2015, to hold an Extraordinary Electoral Congress to elect Blatter's successor, scheduled for 26/02/2016.
