MSV Duisburg will appeal the decision of the DFL's (Deutscher Fussball Liga) Licensing Committee, to not allow them to participate in the 2.Bundesliga (German Second Division) in 2013/14 due to insufficient funds.

The club has received the decision in writing and can now prepare their appeal to the DFL's Permanent Court of Arbitration.

The club must appeal before 12/06/2013. Once the appeal is launched, the DFL will decide on the case, even before the Permanent Court of Arbitration set a hearing date, according to MSV Duisburg, who finished 11th in the 2.Bundesliga in 2012/13, but ended the season with a deficit of €3.3m.
