"We are seeking provisional measures before CAS to suspend the coming election on Friday 26/02/2016," announced Francis Szpiner and Renaud Semerdjian, the lawyers of Prince Ali Bin Al Hussein, one of the five candidates for the FIFA presidency, on 23/02/2016.

This request follows the rejection by FIFA (in a letter dated 15/02/2016) of the application for transparent booths, provided by Prince Ali, to prevent the presidents of federations from recording -- by photo or video -- evidence of their vote during the Extraordinary Congress in Zurich (SUI) on 26/02/2016.

This refusal led Prince Ali Bin Al Hussein to appeal to the CAS on 22/02/2016. "FIFA will simply request voters 'to leave their mobile (phone) while going to vote'. This request is not sufficient," said the lawyers of Prince Ali in a statement to News Tank Football, and published in full below.

"FIFA has objected to our demand for an expedited hearing in order for an award to be delivered before 26/02/2016" (full press release of the team of Prince Ali on 23/02/2016)
