"I'm tired of being called 'the suspended president'. Now I am the former president and the suspension is useless," said, on 24/02/2016, Joseph Blatter, the FIFA president suspended from duty and from any activity in football since 08/10/2015.

"All the Congress stood to applaud me, it was great. It gave me goose bumps," he added in an interview with the French sports daily L'Equipe on 24/02/2016, about the FIFA Congress held in Paris (FRA) on 08/06/1998 which elected Blatter to succeed the Brazilian Joao Havelange, and become the eighth president of the international federation.

6472 days later, the Swiss leader is "quietly at home", and he will turn 80 years old on 10/03/2016, following the election of his successor on Friday 26/02/2016 in Zurich ( SUI), during an Extraordinary Electoral Congress of FIFA.
