FIFA: Executive Committee unanimously recommends the Congress to adopt the governance reforms

The FIFA Executive Committee unanimously urged national federations meeting for the Congress in Zurich on 26/02/2016 to adopt all the governance reforms contained in the draft for the new FIFA statutes, announced the international body after the Executive Committee meeting on 24/02/2016.

In addition, the Executive Committee, convened by Issa Hayatou (CMR), the acting president of FIFA, approved the new governance regulations established by the 2016 FIFA Reform Committee. These regulations are intended to strengthen the fundamentals of the new statutes, FIFA says. Its entry into force is subject to the approval of these statutory changes by the Congress on 26/02/2016.
