Virtual Reality: NextVR signs a five year contract with the American pay-TV group Fox Sports

The American pay-TV group Fox Sports has concluded a five-year agreement with NextVR, the American virtual reality audiovisual production company, announced Fox Sports on 17/02/2016. This partnership is the first of its kind and includes sporting events including the broadcast rights held by Fox Sports in the United States. The broadcasts will be accompanied by sports commentary and graphics displayed in real time on the virtual reality device. To experience the competitions, virtual reality headset users must download the NextVR app on compatible smartphones.

"We have worked with FOX Sports for over a year to test live, virtual reality programming across several sports. This wide-ranging agreement is proof that our technology provides an exciting and compelling option to witness great sporting events in virtual reality," said Brad Allen, executive director of NextVR.
