Goal line technology: Dutch Federation (KNVB) opt for Hawk-Eye

On the 06/06/2013, it was announced that the KNVB (Dutch Football Association) have chosen British company Hawk-Eye to provide a trial of their goal line technology for the KNVB Cup during the 2013/14 and 2014/15 seasons.

The system will be used in the advanced stages of the competition, including the final, as well as in the Eredivise (Dutch first division) playoffs. The Dutch football federation plan to implement video refereeing technology in the near future.
