Inter Milan: Giovanni Gardini joins the club as chief football administrator

Giovanni Gardini has joined FC Internazionale Milano (Serie A TIM), taking the role of chief football administrator, announced the Italian club on 25/02/2016. He will officially begin his new role on 01/03/2016.

"He brings with him a great deal of experience on the sports administration side, together with a deep understanding of Serie A having previously worked at a number of Italian clubs," said Michael Bolingbroke, the CEO of Inter Milan, on 25/02/2016. The new position of Giovanni Gardini covers sport institutional relations, player transfer administration and oversight of the sport secretariat.

"I am ready to put my experience and contacts in the world of football to good use, both in Italy and beyond," announced Giovanni Gardini on 25/02/2016. The former managing director of Hellas Verona FC (since 2012), Gardini will work alongside Piero Ausilio, chief sports officer of Inter Milan. Both men will report directly to Michael Bolingbroke.
