The average attendance of the French championship after 28 matchdays is 20,543 spectators per match, equating to 1,794 people less than at the end of the 2014-15 season (-10%). The Ligue 1 fill rate was 67% in 2015-16.

The match between Olympique Lyonnais - Paris Saint-Germain FC (2-1) drew the largest crowd of the matchday, with 56,661 spectators at Parc OL, according to official figures from the LFP. Six of the nine games on Matchday 28 were played in front of fewer than 15,000 people.
