The bid committee of the City of Los Angeles (California, USA) to host the 2024 Summer Olympic Games has agreed a partnership with Snapchat, the photo and video sharing app based in California, on 25/02/2016. The partnership includes the launch of graphics filters featuring the logo of the US city's bid (unveiled on 16/02/2016), which users can integrate into their photos or videos taken at sites around the city which would host Olympic events.

"Los Angeles is a world-leader in creativity and innovation and we are thrilled to have Snapchat on board to help celebrate the potential of an LA Games and promote the olympic movement in new and compelling ways," said Casey Wasserman, chairman of the Los Angeles 2024 bid committee.

The other candidates to host the 2024 Olympics are Paris (France), Rome (Italy) and Budapest (Hungary). The host city will be selected by the IOC on 13/09/2017 in Lima (Peru).

As of 29/02/2016, the Los Angeles bid has 41,650 cumulative fans across all social networks, compared to 62,900 for Paris and 37,600 for Rome
