Olympics: Japanese companies Mitsubishi Electric and TOTO become Official Partners of Tokyo 2020

Mitsubishi Electric, the Japanese electrical and architectural equipment manufacturer (heating, home automation), has become the 13^th Official Partner of the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Tokyo (Japan) in 2020, announced the organising committee on 29/02/2016. The company is a partner in the "lifts, escalators and moving walkways" category.

TOTO, a Japanese manufacturer of plumbing equipment, became the 12^th official partner of Tokyo 2020, on 25/02/2016. TOTO is a partner in the "bathroom equipment and kitchens" category.

Four Japanese newspapers also became official partners of the XXXII Olympiad, on 22/01/2016: the Yomiuri Shimbun, the Nikkei Shimbun, the Mainichi Shimbun and the Asahi Shimbun. They represent the "national daily newspaper" category. These four papers paid a combined $6bn yen (nearly €50m) to partner with the Tokyo Games, according to Japanese media.
