Hannover 96 want to invest €20m in the construction of a training centre

Hannover 96 (GER, Bundesliga, 9th in 2012/13) want to invest €20m to transform their reserve team's ground, the Eilenreide Stadium into a state-of-the-art training centre.

The German club is currently negotiating the purchase of land adjacent to the stadium but "no agreement has yet been signed," Martin Kind, president of Hannover 96 told the German site Sponsors.de on the 03/06/2013. The transaction is expected to be completed by the end of July 2013.

The project includes:
- renovation of the Eilenreide Stadium to reduce its current capacity of 18,000
- the creation of nine training pitches
- the construction of a residency for 24 academy players, with a medical centre and physiotherapy facilities.

Renovation works could start in the second half of 2014.
