US Soccer, the US Football Federation, has unveiled its new logo and launched a virtual reality marketing campaign on 29/02/2016. Fans registered with the federation, members of the training centre and USA international players have each received one of 10,000 packs containing a Google Cardboard virtual reality headset allowing them to view the promotional video in 360°, as well as a scarf featuring the new logo.

"We kept on coming back to the notion that the press conference isn’t really something that drives the fan experience.
Therefore we’ve moved away from that to something that is more immersive and interactive and experiential for the fan," said Jay Berhalter, chief commercial officer of US Soccer, on 29/02/2016. Fans were invited to share their photos with the contents of the packs on social networks, which have published on US Soccer website (see "Web Links" below).

The new US Soccer logo was created by the design teams at the US kit supplier Nike, a partner of the American Federation. The previous US Soccer logo was designed in 1995 and had not been updated since.
